Meet the author

Nakisah Williams

Nakisah Williams is the Founder and CEO of Craft Club — a pioneering brand in the DIY craft kit space that has revolutionised the way modern audiences approach traditional crafts. What began as a lockdown project in her Sydney apartment has blossomed into a creative movement that has spanned the globe, reaching over 100,000 customers across more than 20 countries. When Nakisah couldn't find a cross-stitch kit that spoke to her contemporary style, she decided to create her own — and Craft Club was born.

Under Nakisah's leadership, Craft Club has expanded far beyond its original cross-stitch designs to offer an inclusive range of craft kits, designed to make creativity accessible to everyone. From latch-hooking and embroidery kits to moss coasters and woven bags, each product reflects her commitment to breaking down barriers between people and their creative potential. Her mission stems from her own experience growing up in regional New South Wales, where — despite receiving an art scholarship — she was discouraged from pursuing creative pathways in favour of more 'serious' career goals.

Today, Nakisah has cultivated a vibrant community of over 400,000 people on social media. Through Craft Club, she continues to challenge the notion that creativity is reserved for a select few, proving that with the right tools and guidance, anyone can experience the pride and joy of making something beautiful with their own hands.
